• Preclinical Screening of Medicinal Plants and Herbal Products for Pharmacological effects

• Clinical evaluation of herbal/Natural Health Products for Efficacy and Safety
• Commercialization of Natural/Herbal Health Products for Disease Prevention and Treatment

• Received several institutional and national awards for development of COVIDEX product in Uganda.
• Attracted three Research and Training grants in the last 5 years to the Mbarara University of Science and Technology –total value > 6 million USD
• Received joint grant Award from Bioinnovate Africa for development of Herbal malaria treatment supplement (SUPPACT) worth 1 million USD
• Received support from President of Uganda to expand COVIDEX and other Natural products production in Uganda woth 2.5 million USD
• Received award from Ministry of Health for outstanding achievement in Research for Herbal Prevention of Malaria (ARTAVOL) 2014
• Received ultimate Aidoer award for health research from Ateker 2018 International Development Organization Germany
• Received Most Innovative Pharmacist award from the Pharmaceutical Society of Uganda 2020
• Received award in recognition of resources mobilization in Faculty of Medicine, Mbarara University of Science and Technology 2018
• Received Model Scientist Award by Uganda National Council for Science and Technology 2012
• Best student Award in 2011 Traditional Chinese Medicine summer course
• Served as President and chairman of council of the Pharmaceutical Society of Uganda 2016 to 2020
• Served as Chairman Theta Uganda Research Ethics Committee
• Established Jena Herbals Limited Uganda Natural health products manufacturing and distribution company in Uganda.
• Published over 40 publications in peer reviewed journals
• Mentored and supervised 10 PhD students and 12 masters students
• Developed over 18 natural health products most are already approved by National Drug Authority Uganda
