Frasia Oosthuizen holds a BPharm, MSc (Pharmacology) and PhD (Pharmacology) qualifications, all obtained from PU for CHE (now North-West University). She is associate professor in Health Sciences, at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. She teaches pharmacology to undergraduate students in the BPharm programme, and has extensive experience in curriculum development. Her main areas of research interests are Medicine Safety and Pharmacy Education. She has published research findings in national and international peer-reviewed journals, and have also presented at several national as well as international conferences. She has graduated 26 postgraduate students to date, at both Masters and PhD levels..
